Description

The Toyota Land Cruiser is a benchmark in automotive manufacturing. The renowned family of off-road vehicles was developed by the Japanese company Toyota Motor Corporation in the 1950s. It is in fact the company’s longest-running nameplate from the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’ and has constantly evolved in design, engines, and technological solutions. Among the most iconic models, the J-40 series, produced from the 1960s to the 1980s, stands out. Characterized by a classic and understated design, it was known for its robustness and reliability. It was available with three wheelbases: short, medium (such as the J-44, which achieved great commercial success), and long. It came with Diesel or Petrol engines depending on the target markets. The “Safari” version, featuring more extreme equipment and trim, further enhanced the vehicle’s strength and reliability in all environmental conditions.
