The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was developed in the 1950s and became one of the most famous and widely used light attack aircraft in the history of aviation. It was characterized by a simple design, with low-mounted delta wings and small side air intakes, yet it was extremely functional for operational use. Derived as an evolution of the original layout, the OA-4M Skyhawk is a two-seat light attack and advanced training version designed to meet the operational needs of the United States Marine Corps. Developed by McDonnell Douglas in the 1970s, the OA-4M was created to operate alongside single-seat variants in tactical support, reconnaissance, and pilot operational training missions. Significantly upgraded in avionics compared to previous versions, the OA-4M was capable of employing a broader and more advanced variety of weapon systems.
