Description

The LAV-25 is an eight-wheeled armored vehicles, characterized by good amphibious features, used by the Unites States Marine Corps from the beginning of ‘80s to perform reconnaissance and   close combat duties. Entered in service on 1983 it saw the Gulf War, the Iraq War and the Afghanistan. Equipped with a reliable diesel engine it is able to reach the speed of 100 Km/h. The eight wheel drives and the independent suspension system are the ideal solution to support the “all-terrain” capability. Developed and built in several versions and configurations it is equipped with a M242 Bushmaster 25 mm cannon and, typically, two 7.62 mm. machine guns. The crew is three and it is able to have on board, as passengers, four soldiers with combat gear.
