SHORT SUNDERLAND MK. I - COMING SOON -

Dear Friends, we are pleased to share with you the progress of our works. Here below we are proud to show you some exclusive images of the 3D CAD simulation, the first moulds and the new illustrated profiles of our latest new scale model that will be launched very soon : the Short Sunderland Mk.I

Historical highlights.

The Short Sunderland was one of the most famous seaplane of World War II. It came into service at the end of 1938 to equip the Royal Air Force squadrons of Costal Command. The Short industrial skills, famous for the production of transport seaplanes during the ‘30s, allowed to develop robust and reliable aircraft to meet, in a very good way, the maritime reconnaissance and patrol duties. The four 1,065 HP Bristol Pegasus radial engines and the robust hull structure, guaranteed good operational flexibility even in long range missions and even in tough weather conditions. Sunderland, thanks to the offensive armament it could carry, consisting of depth charges, was successfully deployed in anti-submarine operations during the “Battle of Atlantic” revealing a good contrast to the German Kriegsmarine’s “U-boats”

Advanced 3D simulation software to support the design activities

100% new moulds to guarantee the best attention to details.

We are doing the "fine tuning" activities. The new Short Sunderland will be available on the market very soon.
